The Effie awards are now accepting entries for the 2008 competition. The Effie Awards recognizes marketers and advertisers that are making a significant contribution to and receiving concrete results for their clients. "Effies award ideas that work." In their 40th year, the Effies have a great track record for showcasing the industry's best and brightest. Check out past Effie winners.

Marketing Association announced the winners of its tenth annual
WebAward Competition for Web site development. More than 2,400 sites from 40
countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year's
competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content,
interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

The 2007 Best of Show WebAward is presented to Walt
Disney Internet Group, for their exceptional work on Disney XD. Best of show runner up submitted by Atlanta-based IQ Interactive is UPS Whiteboard .

The Summit MEA competition recognizes marketing communicators who successfully change, influence or reinforce a target audience's knowledge, attitudes, or beliefs. The competition is becoming an outstanding judge of marketing communication effectiveness. During the 2007 event, judges analyzed submissions and selected only 15.5% to receive the top awards. "Distinguishing between creative and effectiveness is a difficult task so winning a Summit MEA is a significant achievement." said Jocelyn Luciano, Executive Director for the awards. The best of 2007 winners went to eStara, Antics Online Inc., Pario Inc., MOOPHSTUDIOS, Go Giraffe Go, and Revalour. Check out all the MEA 2007 winners.
The MarCom Awards is a competition that honors excellence and recognizes the work and creativity being done by marketing and communication professionals worldwide. Entrants include individual marketers and communicators, Fortune 50 companies, and everyone in between. It is open to any professional involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. In addition to the entry fee, this competition charges a $25 administration fee and does not charge for pro bono work done for non-profits. In an effort to keep entry fees low, winners must buy their own awards.
